What is TimeIPS?

TimeIPS is an Intelligent Personnel System and/or Digital Time and Attendance System (depending on the model you've purchased) that provides a substantial savings to your business when compared to using a manual or electronic punch-card time clock system.

The system uniquely integrates time and attendance records and detailed employee information, allowing for detailed reporting and cost-effective management of payroll and employee-related issues.

 

What does TimeIPS do?

The system uniquely integrates time and attendance records, detailed employee information and project tracking (on certain models) allowing for detailed work trend reporting and cost-effective management of payroll preparation and employee-related issues. TimeIPS pays for itself by dramatically reducing the time and expense required to set up new employees, monitor personnel details, track project and job costs and manually prepare payroll.

 

How does TimeIPS work?

TimeIPS allows an employee to type an employee ID number or swipe a secure badge to clock in, clock out, record attendance, and log time spent on a project or job (on certain models) each day. Each time an hourly employee clocks in or out the station's LCD screen provides immediate visual feedback on the employee's hours worked and available non-overtime hours remaining.

For salaried employees, TimeIPS provides a great platform for maintaining the comprehensive amount of personnel and HR-related information required for effective human resource management at all levels, and provides critical daily, weekly, and monthly attendance records for security and other business management needs.

Managers, depending upon their access level, can use the system's easy-to-navigate and secure internal web pages daily to update and edit employment-related information, including employee schedules, hours worked, overtime alerts, job tracking (on certain models), and much more.

The TimeIPS system requires a designated person (usually a senior accounting, HR or payroll manager) to be the system administrator. In addition, TimeIPS provides the multiple levels of administration required to manage your business and your personnel. The administrator position(s) are critical, as they manage master password access, designate employee and manager access levels, set up new employees, record company information, configure data backup and system upgrades, and set upgrade options.

 

How does it save my business time and money?

TimeIPS harnesses the power of automation and provides accurate employee time and attendance tracking so you can quickly compute information in preparation for payroll and job tracking (on certain models). TimeIPS stores the information permanently on its internal storage area, even if the power is turned off. According to reports from the American Payroll Association, manual time card computation and other issues experienced by companies without a digital time and attendance system can cost over $1,019 per employee, per year. TimeIPS can send preemptive overtime email alerts to managers to help reduce or eliminate unauthorized overtime and early clock-ins or late clock-outs. Just 15 minutes of overtime a week by a single $15.00 per hour (including taxes and benefits) employee adds up to over $292 a year!

What if I need help?

When navigating the TimeIPS Administration screens, you will find resources to help you with each function. There are three basic types of resources:

  • Level one includes contextual, or inline help. Inline help is located in italics near each of the functions.
  • Level two resources include the TimeIPS Installation and Getting Started binder as well as the TimeIPS Support Portal, an online, comprehensive and searchable knowledge base.

How does this product compare to other time and attendance products?

TimeIPS provides more capabilities, more performance, more expandability, and easier setup and administration at a lower cost than any known comparable products.

 

Can I install TimeIPS in my warehouse, production or assembly area?

Yes. TimeIPS can be installed in many different environments, as long as the location has a network connection and AC power access near the point where the station will be installed. We do recommend that TimeIPS stations be installed in a cabinet (with proper air ventilation) for reliable performance in dusty or dirty environments. Extremely hot and cold environments should be avoided, as these can affect system performance.

 

Do you provide system updates for TimeIPS? How do these work?

Yes. Every TimeIPS station includes an account that provides regular system updates. System updates improve the quality and performance of TimeIPS. The update account features the latest, most efficient, secure technologies available to provide easy, seamless system updates and upgrades that make TimeIPS more effective in your business everyday.

 

Are there upgrade modules and add-ons available for my TimeIPS system?

Yes. Every TimeIPS station includes an account that provides regular system updates and allows you to purchase from our powerful, yet affordable suite of system upgrades, enhancements and add-on modules. Our growing suite of upgrades, support enhancements and add-ons provides powerful, easy-to-use, yet affordable tools that enhance and maximize the power of TimeIPS to work harder for your business and save you money.

Each software upgrade module is specially designed to provide a meaningful, cost-efficient and time-saving productivity improvement to your business. Access to the upgrades is available through your update account. Your update account offers the ease and convenience of secure, automatic online functionality to make upgrading your system simple and fast.

 

I have TimeIPS stations at multiple locations inside my facility and one station in a remote facility. When I receive system updates, do I have go to each location and install these individually on each client station?

No. For sites with multiple TimeIPS stations, the client stations are automatically updated over the Internet each time your master TimeIPS station receives new system updates. This convenience avoids manually executed system updates on each station and saves you time. Your Master TimeIPS station can be set to receive automatic updates or you can choose to receive updates on demand.

 

Does the system require a service or maintenance contract to be purchased for system support?

No. However, for enhanced levels of support and service, we highly recommend you consider the various options we offer. All TimeIPS systems include free Internet-based support through the TimeIPS Support Portal. In addition, each TimeIPS system includes an introductory time period of toll-free technical support from our Customer Relationship Managers at 877.846.3256. Extended-time technical support packages are also available for purchase. Customers are urged to review the additional options for extended warranty, technical support, software updates, and offsite backup services. We've worked hard to provide a range of options to suit your business size and budget. We think you'll find the range of options to be affordable and useful in maximizing the benefits of TimeIPS.
